This is one of those photos I would typically pass over: hands and a rosary, prayers for some political cause in front of a government institution. Nothing that new or original about that.
But in this case, an out of focus figure that must be a guard stands blocking the entrance to the Supreme Court like a blurry and huge set of keys or a shape standing in opposition to the crucifix. What better accidental symbolism for a Supreme Court ruling on Arizona’s draconian immigration law?
