I don’t know what to say, if anything, about these shots of young Sasha except that they are sweet and boy, is she growing up. I think she gets less notice when she’s with her sister whose height, resemblance to her father, and more obvious growth spurt takes all the attention.

Boehner wouldn’t allow himself to be framed so regally if he had his own photographer. On Capitol Hill, the news wire guys have the scent now for anything smacking of 1%.

Bag’s Take-Away:

This scary, floating, transparent head is the first and last reference to George Bush you’ll see this election season, guaranteed - based on a “one off” wire photo capturing Dubya’s reflection in a framed picture at RNC HQ. Of course, no one’s willing to say it out loud (at least on the GOP side), but the man’s a pariah.

Not an earthshaking photo from the official dedication, but interesting that King’s body language is matched by Michelle Obama, not Malia or Barack. Also noticing, right side: first generation (Michelle’s mother, Marion) leans forward in reverence, third generation looks bored, second generation woman internalizes the pose.

From right are Marion Robinson, first lady Michelle Obama and Sasha Obama.)

Kudos because 1.) I’ve never seen this pic before, and 2.) it’s the perfect Capitol commentary right now knowing people take one look at that dirigible and imagine it bursting into flames.
