Bag’s Take-Aways from #OWS #N17:Dreadful.
(photo: Mike Segar/Reuters caption: An Occupy Wall Street demonstrator is arrested by New York City Police during what protest organizers called a “Day of Action” in New York November 17, 2011. Hundreds of Occupy Wall Street protesters marched through New York’s financial district toward the stock exchange on Thursday to protest economic inequality at the heart of American capitalism.)
Bag’s Take-Away:I’d say she’s feeling a bit more than 1% defensive about Occupy. And then, it’s a great example of the class divide, especially when you consider that the women and the kid in the beard share the same color scheme … though I doubt his shirt came from Neiman Marcus.

Bag’s Take-Away:If there’s an iconic shot from today’s OWS face off, it’s the kinetic one of NYPD’s long sticks. (Kinetic meaning, in use.)
(photo: Robt Stolarik/NY Times caption: Officers with batons moved on the crowd on Beaver Street near Broad Street.)
Bag’s Take-Away:After Tuesday’s “clean sweep,” some OWS pics are now beyond ironic. A protester seen scraping paint off the pavement at Zuccotti a few weeks ago as Occupiers pre-empt eviction/wash down. …Now thinking prison inmate with a toothbrush.

Bag’s Take-Away:From my iPhone: Part of the intentional genius of Zuccotti Park, one aim being to foster as much actual dialogue between like and unlike minds as possible. Just 30 seconds earlier, these two guys were screaming at each other.
Bag’s Take-Away:Cringe inducing image of cringe-less peaceful resistance. Sort of brilliant.

The company that owns the park at the center of the Occupy Wall Street movement postponed a planned cleaning of the site, a New York City deputy mayor said early Friday.)
