Bag’s Take-Away:
With the Boy Scouts doubling down on its gay ban this week, the photo the Daily News ran had the feeling of a backlash — especially with the AP photo credited to “Anonymous.” One thing the picture of Scout executive Bob Mazzuca is playing on is the meme of anti-gay advocates as repressed homosexuals.

Infectiously toe-tapping song sung by Johnny Cash’s daughter Roseanne, beautiful scenery from national parks and New York, New Orleans, San Francisco, a “Find Your Land of Dreams” message (take that, pre-buttaling Mitt Romney)….what’s not to like about this USA tourism video produced by a “public-private partnership between the travel industry and the U.S. government”?

Maybe the fact that gays canoodle and Muslims shop? Not in my America!

The politics of captions (see below): if you are going to mention Cameron’s marriage (and Obama’s), why not Andrew Sullivan’s?
(That’s more like it.)

Bag’s Take-Away:

Did you notice, in Romney’s New Hampshire sit down with the gay vet (and disavowal of gay marriage), that the man’s husband is actually on camera for, like, 2 seconds (approximately 2:30), and that Romney — like the politician he is — actually shakes hands with the guy (about 2:36)?

(AP confirmed the man opposite was the husband)
