Maybe #Eastwooding stands for message mis-management? Clint needled the president last night for running around in a gas guzzling plane. Here’s Romney’s new ride, unveiled today.

The fact is, you can’t deal with the subject of Christie without also addressing his girth. He plays it up all the time (the best defense is a good offense?) and, in terms of optics, it certainly reinforces the GOP philosophy surrounding the goodness of wealth accumulation. Still, the photo of the Governor visiting the convention stage is a visual joke at his expense, a blimp-size analogy between the enormous, round, white hat — on top of an enormous head, obviously — with the enormously round politician looking in that direction. I don’t have a photo credit, by the way, but the pic originally appeared in this post at NBC’s photo blog. Perhaps, for the reasons outlined, they took it down?

Cultured banner on Congressman Todd “legit rape” Akin’s website a blatant contradiction of the man’s tasteless bigotry. But then, you don’t find a woman in any of these Tom Sawyer-ish frontier fantasies, now do you?

Not sure what Gov.Walker’s options were for head coverings — looks like on-the-spot improvising — but give him respect for doing the right thing.
