Bag’s Take-Away:
One of the major and most serious developments in news gathering over these past few years has been the targeting of photojournalists by police. It’s not often, though, we get visuals of it. Photos like this one from Portugal, of an attack on an AFP photographer, are important to be seen to raise the awareness of press freedom and “visual rights” especially in the this age of crackdowns against social media-infused protests.

Bag’s Take On Pepper Spray Cop Spraying His Own Cops In City Park:

1. Having to be the big man, Officer Pike — in one shot — reduces peeps to Lilliputians.

2. You bet they’ve circled the wagons.

3. Not sure if it’s Portland, Oakland, or where, but for the next week, at least, could just as well be the Davis cops there.

4. What goes around comes around — right, Officer Balogna?
