Bag’s Take-Away:
Blasphemous, though not surprising that football-crazed Penn State students would leverage off the Occupy movement in defense of Coach Paterno and a child abuse cover-up. Occupy Sanity?

Bag’s Take-Away:
Seems noteworthy somehow that Lachlan Murdoch is captured with Daddy Rupert sporting a tattoo. Not exactly sure what it means, though. Something about the assertiveness of the young guard … but maybe not so different than the old guard? (There’s that, and also the PR strategy of putting Lachlan in the drivers seat now that brother James, the otherwise heir-apparent, has his head on the chopping block.) Anyway, I really love the smug look(s), as well as the suit-on-the-street walking toward the car through the glass. It helps creates the impression that we’re inside.
…And, to the extent the empire is cracking wide open, lights suddenly glaring from everywhere, how true.

I like it because of a.) the round green extraterrestial-looking reflection-of-light bubble-thing targeting Weiner’s left cheek, and b.) how it documents how this poor guy remains a spectacle and target of shame (yeah, it’s Summer) starting off still another week.
(photo: Richard Drew/Associated Press caption: U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner (D., N.Y.) addressed a news conference in New York, Monday. Mr. Weiner admitted sending sexually suggestive photographs to women online but said he doesn’t plan to resign from Congress because of the scandal.)

1. Moments in my life I want back.
2. Key moments in the morphing of tabloid and traditional media (because Enquiring minds want to know!)
3. Not too phallic.

Ouch. If you look at the image on the left of his “everyday self,” you’ll see that Gawker actually juxtaposes the career-ending photo of the fun loving Chris “Congressman Craig’s List” Lee with a photo of him in front of a children’s swing!
For my take on “the larger picture” of what did Chris in, see my “hardware” post at BagNews.
