Bag’s Take-Away:
I just want you to know that a trunk without an elephant is not a pretty thing. This elephant is a bit pissed, too, as she and her mom are being moved because they can’t get along with other elephants at their zoo. I’d say it symbolizes the dilemma the GOP finds itself in as right wing Tea Party candidates keep picking off elections. But the photo was taken in the Netherlands.

The irreverence. The girth. Old Glory. At least for a day this week, it was like the Tea folks never left.
And then, is there something hyper-patriotic about hands-over-privates?

Bag’s Take-Away:

Well, Gingrich might as well have the South tattooed on his face.

The what: At last night debate, Newt received a standing ovation as he reiterated his belief that poor kids should work as janitors in response to Juan Williams’ question asking him if he understood that black people felt such employment would be aimed at them. He’s not going much further, everyone knows that, and to make sure, he’s branded himself with racism. The emblem is the Tea Party of South Carolina logo. Newt addressed the group Monday night.

"Oh, come on! Everybody who knows me knows that I am not a racist. It was a joke. I have friends who are black. Besides, I only sent it to a few people—mostly people I didn’t think would be upset by it." — Marilyn Davenport

Well, Orange County Tea Party leader shows her true colors. The fact the local GOP stood by her also speaks volumes. Regarding the pic, if it wasn’t so blazingly offensive to read into it at all, you’d almost think those chimps had gotten hammered by the recession.
