I suppose there is another table, unseen to us, that says ‘uomini’, but I find it odd that Italians separate the vote — and least, in their list keeping — between men and women. Am I translating that wrong or do we have a great photo of the plasticized Berlusconi walking away from ‘women’ (donne) to cast his vote?

It’s interesting to me how the poor were effectively absent during the campaign but they are somehow showing up today in so many voting slideshows, this man at the Los Angeles Mission. Example of representative government — or media wall paper?
